Time....It is all about planning

Oh my...
I promised myself when I started this that I would make it a monthly routine to update.  Last I looked it is more than 2 years..FAIL.
What can I say....Kids grew up and LIFE just snowballed.

My daughter is now taller than me.  My son is now up to my eye level.  I am going to be the smallest (in height) of this little family.  Hence, I love my higher heels.  The whole size 10 of them with the wide front!!!! Yes, they give me corns and my Samoan calves feel a pull at the end of each day,  BUT I can still rock them....(will check back with my hips later!!!)

We are now a normal family.  Two working parents with busy, growing kids.  Winter is our busiest time with sports.  Balancing takes work and scheduling.  Something I thrive on as a Scientist.
Every day, School notices (if any) go on the table for mum to go through.  I sort the coming events and costs for schools, sports teams or music activities and when they happen.
Every week, Sunday evenings is the planning of the timetable: Whom, What, where, When?  There is the family diary as well as the white board.  (Kids miss the most obvious.)
Usually, we have a day off, from games/trainings/sports trips and we embrace this one evening.  This does not usually fall on a weekend but we make this a family time to just chill.
I start work early and in the car we have the chilly bag with food and all the gear they need for after school.  Dad is the home boss for the mornings and school drop offs.  I finish early and then I am in charge of the occurrences after school.  I have to say, it is the most stressful time...my unpaid job, yet the most fulfilling.  I know most parents with kids feel this.  Man, it is a hard job.  But, the positives are so tremendous.
The smiles.  The tales of their day (Good & Not so Good).  The disagreements (especially about mum dancing & singing, whilst driving). The likes and dislikes.  The latest apps, latest songs, books.....their library of knowledge is so vast and they love talking.
I may not come on often to write, but I do know I am blessed with the time and the planning with family and for family.
God Bless.
